Super jealous! I’ve been dying to get an old truck forever now, but being overly responsible with my money keeps getting in the way. Soon though, soon.

My dream is to take one of these late 60s F100s and turn it into something like “what if Frank Bulitt was a truck guy” so highland green, black wheels and a blacked out mesh grill with a single chrome outline.

Congrats on your purchase :)

I'd buy one just like it if I could.

I’ve waited a long time for this. Last year we had all four kids in college but my son graduated so this is a gift to myself to celebrate my overhead sucking a little less haha.

Well I’m happy for you!

I can’t say I’ve waited that long, I’m only 5 years out of college but I’ve wanted an old truck since I was a little kid and have had several slip through my hands over the years though for various reasons. I could only afford one vehicle and didn’t want to ruin a nice truck by driving it during the winter, then college where I had little to no money to spare, then a ring to pay for, then a mortgage, then a new car for the wife , student loans, a new kiddo (on the way), and now it looks like I should probably buy a new (used) truck within the next year or so, and on top of all of that I’m doing everything I can to save for an acreage. All of these things are just life, and I know that, so I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining, but I’m frustrated at myself because I’ve wanted one for so long, and now I have the means, but things higher on the priority list keep kicking a fun truck farther down the list. I’ll get there eventually, I’m just impatient lol.

I do actually have an old truck, a 1950 F3, I just don’t have a place to build and work on it.

Man, I waited a long time to get mine. My father had a ‘79 F100 all through my childhood (still has it) and I bought a ‘72 in 2007, but it wasn’t the exact spec I really wanted (3 speed, 2wd).

I had that truck for 9 years before I finally found my ‘61, and was able to sell the ‘72 and spend a few grand out of pocket to jump up to the 4wd, 4 speed ‘61.

I waited 10 years to find my boat, too. I’ll probably never sell either one of them.

That was one thought I had with my car. What if Bullitt had a Cougar, which is part of the reason it has Torq Thrust Ds on it.

What kind of boat? Something rare?

Kinja'd!!! functionoverfashion > Brian, The Life of

Kinja'd!!!1

Haha, not anything rare at all - just rare to find one near me, in good condition. It’s a 2003 Nautique - a Super Air Nautique, Team Edition to be specific. And not one that’s been beaten to death or questionably modified. That makes it rare, in a way, but really they’re just hard to find in good condition within 1,500 miles of New Hampshire.
